Nichola & Ronnie’s Wedding at Malmaison, Glasgow

Nichola and Ronnie were married in a Humanist ceremony at Malmaison in Glasgow just after 2020’s first lockdown eased. They had booked everything over a year in advance and they were so lucky that the date of their wedding fell just as the country began to open up again.

Their ceremony was held in the Mal One room at Malmaison, and we then took portraits with their guests in the bar area at the hotel. I then took Nichola and Ronnie off for a little walk around the block for an urban portrait shoot, taking advantage of the empty streets.

This is the first time I’ve photographed a wedding at Malmaison and I thought it was a brilliant venue. The light and airy bar-area was a fantastic spot for portraits and candid shots alike. The exterior of the building itself is beautiful, and the surrounding area offers lots of interesting portrait locations.
